Statistics

All the animals that come through Homeless Herps have their information recorded in our database. Details such as species, date of arrival, location and outcome are all noted. One benefit of keeping all this information is that it allows it to be analysed to understand more about the animals that are becoming strays, being displaced and being surrendered. If nothing more it shows just the sheer number of reptiles and amphibians that need our help! The data shown below is current and active. This means that when a new animal is entered into our database the data is refreshed and reflects exactly what is happening in Homeless Herps in real time.

Animal numbers

Homeless Herps officially started operating in April 2018. Since then, a total of 1082 animals have been processed through the program. More statistics coming soon!
